Story Writing - Picture-Guided Composition #2

Star Q
ii.  Inferno
iii.  The Relief

Students go to school five days a week, and yet they still cannot tell you what happen to them along the way.  Sometimes you just want to laugh at their couldn't-care-less attitude towards the world around them.  Sometimes, I am just amazed.

That is why I always cook up writing tasks with lots of pictures.  Such an activity can help to generate interest among students to talk about the pictures and generate vocabulary list.  I generally welcome 'discussion noises' among students!

This task was quite successful for my lower proficiency students, aside from the slight difficulty in describing Paragraph 2.  Besides teaching them to write a composition using pictures, this task also stresses on the importance of paragraphing, which students often ignore.
